TOURNAMENTS
|
Many different type of tournaments are held on SNESOT, we have group stages and double elimination brackets. Playoffs can start from TOP32 stage and you will be ranked based on your results.

LEAGUES
 |
Parallel to tournaments, we can organize leagues in which you choose if it's home and/or away matches. An unlimited number of rounds are possible.

RANDOM FUN
|
From time to time we organize "Just for fun" or "Practice" tourna-
ments to either test out a new system or be able to play in a more relaxed way without taking rankings into account.

SNESOT FOUNDER AND PROGRAMMER
Found out about playing SNES-games online back in 2002 on zbattle and played for hours together with duffjr.
xot82 has always wanted to make an advanced tournament website for SNES games. Finally in 2011 he started
on the SNESOT-project.

Coming from the French SMK community, he participated in some French championships and wanted some online challenge.
He then met xot82 and with him created SNESOT. He is the designer of SNESOT and has admin rights on pretty much
everything on the site.

A friend of xot82 who is hosting the SNESOT server on his 100/100 MBit connection. He's also taking care of updates and structure of the SNESOT forum.

2000 matches played.

Feb. 2011:
xot82 starts working on the website for SNES tournaments. ScouB joins as designer.

End of 2010:
HAK777 gathers old SMK-legends from zbattle and SMK community in a dedicated Hamachi room. This sparked the idea of SNESOT.

2008:
Championships become worldwide with players like duffjr, SamiCetin, Zarkov and KVD.
|
2007-2009:
Online players gather on SupraFast's "zbattle-like" client CGA with ranking systems for Super Mario Kart.

2002-2007:
SMK championships held each summer in France with players like Geo, noctambule and ScouB.
|
2005-2006:
Creation of a basic Super Mario Kart Tournament website with players like Polo, duffjr, xot82 and Molitor.
A few tournaments are run but ends with no real success. Website is forgotten.

2002-2005:
Random zbattle matches and small SMK tournaments.

maybe put it at the bottom of the page like the private chat. and when someone is typing it is jumping up so all other online people can see it.
It is. Should perhaps consider moving it to somewhere where people actually can see it exists.
The most useless usefull function here on snesot... since everyone uses the bulletin anyway xD

just played my first tournament, gabriel west invited me to play it, join this website some time ago but never played with other people,
Disregard that last message figured it out with a little help from Garro, man there's a lot tripping me up, I'm going to make a tutorial video so others won't have theses problems...
I am trying to jin my friends game, but I'm having some difficulties, I type in his ping, we're both in hamachi, and both have the correct verion of ZSNES, what did we do wrong? I am looking at hamachi and seeing he has a "relayed tunnel" what is this?, can it be changed?, and is it the cause of us not being able to connect? Thank you in advance.

Nice to see you here Copper. Sorry we don't have a getting started guide yet. It's sure about time we get one. HAK has been talking about making one. If anyone else has ideas or want to help let us know.

Just a little heads up to anyone who's new, you have to make the "B" in "Battlesmk" capitalized or the system won't recognize it.
It says battlesmk dosen't exist
I would like to join, but I need to know of the requirements of syncing and joining SNES games, I don't see any "getting started" or tutorial of any kind so I am asking here. I can't wait to get started!
